Ever wanted to check out the San Diego Museum scene? Edutainment might be just want you need to make this Valentine’s Day unique. Presented by Macy’s, participants can enjoy half-off entry fees at 40+ San Diego Museum Council membership museums throughout February. Let Valentine’s Day be your excuse to explore San Diego from the water. There are dozens of charter boat opportunities whether you are looking for a romantic dinner cruise or an action-packed adventure.

February is also the perfect time for grey whale watching in San Diego. Over 30,000 whales migrate from Mexico to Alaska from December 15-March 15. If you have never seen these gentle giants in their natural habitat, you need to get out on the water this Valentine’s Day!

3. Running is Good for the Heart

Cupid’s Undie Run puts the hilarity in charity. The formula for this event is simple, Party + 1 mile fun run at your own pace + more party = a fantastic way to celebrate Valentine’s Day while also contributing to the Children’s Tumor Foundation. The second annual, Cupid’s Undie Run is happening on Saturday, February 11th in Liberty Station. 

Coronado Valentine’s Day 10K. This 10K, 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run will be held on Sunday, February 12th at Tidelands Park in Coronado. Sign up as an individual or couple (sounds like MeetnGreet). This can also be a  Match Making event! At registration you can choose to pick up your choice of bib (different from racing bib): Available, Taken, or It’s Complicated.  Wear the bib on the run and find others that like to run and do events just like you. Get social at the event  and make new friends.

When living in the Capital of Craft Beer, there is always a reason to spend your day beer tasting through the city. Create your own course with the help of the San Diego Brewer’s Guild or try one of these events:

Brewbies Fest.  Celebrate the positive impact that the craft brewing community makes while raising funds to help the Keep A Breast foundation fulfill their mission of empowering young people around the world with breast health education and support. There are a bunch of opportunities to practice yoga on the beach during the weekend. Just show up to any of the locations to join one of these donation-based classes.
